Japanese term that means continuous improvement, taken from words 'Kai'
which means continuous and 'zen' means improvement.
Some translate 'Kai' to mean change and 'zen' to mean good, or for the better.
The same Japanese word Kaizen is pronounced as 'Gai San' in Chinese:
Gai= The action to correct.
San= This word is more related to the Taoism or Buddhism Philosophy
in which the definition is the action that 'benefits' the society
not one particular individual. The quality of benefit that is
involved here should be to sustain forever, in other words the 'san' is
an act that benefits others.
It also means continuing improvement in personal life, home
life, social life, and working life.
We like to think of this
site as in the process of KAIZEN
rather than under construction.
