CELEBRATE ALBERTA ART!!
On behalf of the artists that were hosted at the Pyramid Lake Resort, Dreamers and Doers says thank you! From May 5th to Aug 12 the Resort provided accommodation and venues for painters and potters and authors and musicians.
This was one of our dreams - to work in partnerships with businesses that realize the value of arts and culture and to provide the public access to these amazing artists. The fact that the Resort is located in a destination desired by international visitors was a definite bonus!! (When I went up to the Lake on August 12th to see Cam Neufeld play I found him surrounded by a group of folks from Korea - sitting on each others laps and overflowing the chairs!)
Our other dream was to make artists feel significant - The Pyramid Lake Resort staff and administration never wavered from this vision. Every artist was treated as they should have been - after all they are our cultural treasures!
