Please join us in these three days of art, music, food and
more. In 2009 Arts Days also
coincides with Kidsports Day…an organization designed to help children access
sports they may not otherwise be able to afford.
Sports that get youth active and out there…like soccer and dance!
Starting on Friday afternoon after school and running until
Sunday evening we hope you can find a way to get involved in this annual
celebration, we offer a few suggestions/events to build on here:
A place where you can setup an information table about your organization, raise your community profile by raising memberships or selling tickets! or just demonstrate what your group offers. Because of the cross promotion of Kidsports and ArtsDays this could be any and all groups - from the gymnastics club to Arts Jasper. REGISTER
At 4pm Kristy Trinier will be speaking about Public Art programs that she has been involved in around the world and will open the conversation on public art into a forum with local graffiti artists…with a live demonstration on graffiti and clarification on the ‘Art of Graffiti’, with Joel Cooper and Ryan McQuaid.
At
4pm Julie McMath will be offering a hand building pottery workshop for
children ages 7-11, $20 to cover clay and kiln costs, max 8-10 students.
